Hi! So far I have done the first two exercises, and tomorrow I plan to do the writing piece (or whatever I'm able to do ;-) ) with my observation. It did feel different, the first observation with the second! So I guess that means progress. I will subscribe now so I can continue with the workshop. English is not my mother tongue, so this can be more challenging, but I want to give it a try. I do all my reading in English, so that helps. Thanks!
I think that it's never possible to make the same set of observations when you return to the same spot. By having been there once you have already formed an initial sets of impressions and observations about the environment. It is like reading a book once, the second reading will be different. You notice different things, and you brings yourself into that space differently, with a prior knowledge. What I think interests me is the way a second visit can reanimate the memory of the first, and bring fresh detail and new understanding.
Thanks so much for subscribing! I'm glad the exercises are proving useful.
So I did my first writing piece! Basic, I’m sure , only for me but I feel a rush! Ready for the exercise nro. 2. You have an eager student here.
That’s wonderful, Claudia! I’m so glad that you’ve gained something from the first exercise.
